This scoping review maps existing and emerging digital technologies for assessing instrumental activities of daily living and everyday functioning. The project focuses on how technology-based tools, including mobile apps, sensors, wearables, smart home technologies, virtual reality, simulations, and other digital approaches, may support more objective and ecologically valid assessment of functional abilities in midlife and older adults.
